I went to see FF last night. It was INSANE!! I had so much fun it wasn't funny. The show was mind-blowing, no joke. I am so surprised that I even have a voice today. I guess I could have screamed louder, huh?
The place I went was an 18+ dance club and I'm not 18 yet, so that was pretty exciting. It was also my first concert ever in my life. It was absolutely the perfect first concert. Words cannot explain how awesome it was. I bought souvenirs for memories too ^^
I convinced my mom and her friend to wait outside the back door with me until the band came out. I have a friend who has seen them a few times and gave me some tips on how/where to find them after a gig. It was about 50 degrees but the wind was chilly. We stood out there for 45 minutes until the bassist, Bob Hardy, came out by himself. I got a picture with him. I moved my waiting spot to the door he had come out of but no one else came. I turned around and saw, a little way down the sidewalk, Alex Kapranos' back. I fricking booked it down the sidewalk so I could get there. Other fans were taking pictures and things. After a minute or two I asked Alex for a photo and he accepted. I had a drawing that I wanted to give the band as well, so I handed a blue folder to him and said that I wanted the band to have it. He thanked me, then opened the folder and saw the typed summary I'd written and was like "What is it??" I explained that I had drawn them a picture but I had to write a summary so they wouldn't get freaked out because the drawing was weird at first glance. He seemed to like the fact that I called it weird. He was kind of like, "It looks like a... pretty long summary you've got here" and i was like "I'm sorry! I tried to make it as short as I could!" but he said that it was okay. He kept thanking me and saying how sweet it was of me to give them this, and my mom asked for another picture of the two of us and he obliged. I then proceeded to ask for a picture with Nick and Paul, and they also accepted. So I have pictures with the members of Franz Ferdinand. AND I got to meet Alex!! <3
At the end of the summary I wrote, I said that they could find me by Googling 'shadowxmagic' because most of my accounts on any website have that name, so who knows? Maybe one of them is reading this right now... if so, Hi guys! I hope you liked your drawing and odd explanation!
